The Woman shows her most personal wine.
The Official Contest WINE and WOMAN 2012, celebrated in Madrid, the only contest in the World which evaluates the wines worked out by the Woman.
Since 5 years, Wine and Woman has been held in Madrid, emphasizing impressive work that the woman develops in the world of the Wine.
Each year, the number of participants increases, and this accentuates that the woman has more and more influence in the sector of the wine and also that the market recognizes as exceptional the wines which includes this award in their Prizes.
Wine and Woman is also characterized by the support of companies of food and drink distributions, of Food chains such as Makro, which will have to carry out tastings in their centers showing the participating wines in this WINE AND WOMAN’s edition.
In this edition, 150 wines, of 41 different denominations, of 5 countries, fought to obtain some of the 45 distinctions of the Contest, that a Jury composed exclusively by women has tasted in the Restaurant Rubaiyat.
5 wines have obtained the most important distinction BIG DIAMOND :
Rovellats, Col.lecció (D.O. Cava), Viña Cimbrón Verdejo 2011(D.O. Rueda), Rabia (Vino de la Tierra de Castilla), Amaren Reserva tempranillo (D.O.C. Rioja) and Alda Syrah y V (D.O. Calatayud).
The Contest has been a great success, especially due to the quality of the wines registered.
Once the tasting finished, a splendid Vinoquedada was celebrated, during which at least a sample of each wine presented at the Contest had been tasted by wine amateurs which had the chance to know the results of the Contest, and give their opinions and comments.
ALAMESA, Organization of the Contest, works right now on the next edition 2013, in order to perpetuate the value of the women in the world of the Wine.
